Biography
Dr. Theognosia Vergou, MD, Ph.D. is currently working as a Clinical and Research Fellow, at the Photobiology and Psoriasis Unit, Department of Dermatology at the University of Athens and National and Kapodestrian University of Athens along with Private practice.
She completed her Ph.D. thesis on the Study of the Thyroid Function and Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Adrenal Axis in Young Women with Acne in 2013. Dr. Vergou holds honorary memberships in societies like the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, European Society of Dermatologic Research, American Academy of Dermatology, etc. She also participated in clinical studies, investigators meetings and also conducted several clinical trials in the fields of psoriasis and biologic therapies.
Dr. Theognosia Vergou has publications in peer-review journals, book chapters on topics related to acne and psoriasis. She was invited as a guest speaker in international meetings and also presented posters on acne, psoriasis, etc.
