Prof. Nikolaos Andreas Chrysanthakopoulos was graduated from Dental School, University of Athens in 1998. He has also received another Degree from Faculty of Nursing from University of Athens in 1993. He was attended a program in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery in 401 General Military Hospital of Athens during 2003-2004. He got specialist in Clinical Oncology, Cytology and Histopathology during 2013-2015. His MSc Thesis titled ‘‘Correlation Between Periodontal Disease Indices and Lung Cancer in Greek Adults: a Case -Control study’’ consists the first in the International literature that was examined the possible association between periodontal diseases and lung cancer. Prof. Chrysanthakopoulos is a 6th year Pre-Grdt Student, and PhD Cand. in Medical School, University of Athens. He has received Outstanding Scientist Awards (Feb 2020, Apr 2020, Oct 2021,Mar 2021) by INSO and VDGOOD Awards, Admirable Scientist Award (Feb 2021) by VDGOOD Awards, Excellence Service Award (Nov 2021) by VDGOOD Awards, Lifetime Achievement Awards (Dec 2021, May 2022) by VDGOOD Awards, and Distinguished Scientist Award (July 2022) by VDGOOD Awards. He is also a Professor of Human Anatomy, Human Physiology and Sports Medicine in Public Institute of Vocational Training of Patra. He has also received personal invitations for writing Chapters in several e-Books regarding Dental Anatomy, Oral Health and Periodontics in more than 15 e-Books and to participate in 346 International Medical, Oncological and Dental Congresses as a Speaker and as an Organizing Committee Member.
Research Interests: Periodontology, Cancer pathogenesis, Molecular Biology of Cancer.
