Karugahe Wilber holds a PhD in Counselling Psychology from the University of Huddersfield England in the UK, Master of Counseling Psychology and Bachelor of Community Psychology both attained from Makerere University Kampala-Uganda. Wilber has held lecturing positions in UK and Uganda including serving as two-time Head of Department, coordinator of both Postgraduate (M.A Counselling at Makerere University 2018-2023) & Undergraduate programs (Bachelor of Applied Psychology 2023-Date) at Makerere University-School of Psychology. Dr. Karugahe Wilber has supervised research for 100 Undergraduates and 50 Graduate students (M.A/MSC/PhD Supervision). In addition, I have served on various Doctoral Committees, mentored many students across different disciplines and served as external examiner-opponent for PhD defenses in Public Universities. Besides lecturing, Dr. Karugahe Wilber has been involved in Community work as a Practicing Counseling Psychologist and Research Consultant (including consultancy work for MasterCard Foundation, UNFPA/ Hope After Rape-Uganda on Gender Based Violence and Psychosocial Intervention during the Republic of Congo Influx of 2008). Dr. Karugahe has initiated projects to benefit the community including founding and registering a palliative care NGO in 2008.
