Biography
Dr. Ponchitra Ramanathan is a nursing academician and researcher with a career spanning over two decades. Her academic credentials also include Master of Arts in sociology, Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDM-HR) and a FAIMER fellowship.
Her contributions to nursing education involve curriculum development, clinical instruction, academic administration, and faculty mentorship. She has led curriculum mapping, designed outcome-based modules, and mentored undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students. Her scholarly interests lie in critical care nursing, research methodology, quality education, and faculty development.
A prolific researcher, Dr. Ponchitra has authored over 40 publications in national and international journals, with ongoing contributions in critical care, nursing education, and public health. She has guided PG Dissertation, PhD thesis, served on ethics and scientific advisory boards, and engaged as a resource person across national forums.
